• Imparts a comprehensive and critical understanding of Comparative Literature and related areas at Post-Graduate and Doctoral levels.
• Conducts research in Comparative Literature focusing on cross-cultural aspects of literary and cultural artefacts of various countries through a methodological framework.
• Opens new vistas for students and research scholars in academics and careers by embracing a multidisciplinary approach. 
• Create a democratic atmosphere to challenge and question the hegemonic tendencies in Academia.
• Develops language skills by offering foreign and Indian languages.
