The very aim of all language courses is to enable one to improve both the ability to communicate and linguistic competence in the chosen language. A balance of receptive (reading, listening) and productive (speaking, writing) skills are developed through communicative classes and selfâstudy. The study of literature is historically associated with having the function of knowing the relationship between the individual and his/her sorroundings in its depth and breadth. Literature and language studies, which are verymuch part and parcel, promotes open dialogue, develops a tolerance of different cultures and encourages the sharing of different perspectives and interpretations.
Comparative Literature focusing on the study of literature beyond the restrictions of any human interference. As a University Department we are proficient to contribute towards the advancement of the society at large.
